The following is a list of coverages generally available through Beacon Hill Associates. Please note that many risks require a combination of these coverages to adequately address an insured’s environmental needs. Beacon Hill considers all environmental opportunities, large or small.
Contractors Pollution Liability insurance (CPL) is coverage designed to protect from third party claims for damages caused by “Pollution Conditions” arising from the insured’s covered operations. Adding “Mold” coverage broadens the defined list of covered pollutants to include molds, funguses, etc.

The Contractors Pollution Liability/Professional Policy is a combined Pollution and Professional coverage form. It provides coverage to general contractors, construction managers, and various trade contractors who could potentially have both pollution and professional claims; CPL/Professional provides coverage for E&O exposures for contractors.

Packaged insurance coverages combine various lines with a shared limit and/or aggregate. Examples include Commercial General Liability/Contractors Pollution Liability plus Professional, CPL and Professional, or General Liability and Premises Pollution. Site Pollution Liability insurance, also known as Premises Pollution, Environmental Impairment Liability (EIL insurance), and Pollution Legal Liability (PLL), is designed to cover claims arising from pollution releases at, on, or emanating from a specific scheduled location. A “location” can be as broad as an entire piece of property or as narrow as a specified storage tank.

Products Pollution coverage is a package liability product available to many manufacturers and distributors. A combination GL/Products/Product Pollution Liability policy includes Bodily Injury, Property Damage, and Clean Up coverage for third party claims. The Products Pollution coverage part can be provided by either a stand alone policy or by endorsement to the CGL and is available on an occurrence or claims made basis.

Transportation Pollution Liability, or TPL, is “over the road” pollution insurance. It covers insureds who need protection for pollution conditions caused by transportation. This coverage can also include loading/unloading should the insured’s cargo create a pollution condition.

A follow-form excess responds to losses that are covered by the underlying insurance but that exhaust the primary limits; it will not respond to a loss that was not covered in the primary layer.

Storage Tank Liability provides coverage for cleanup costs at a tank owner’s facility due to releases from scheduled tanks on the policy. Coverage is also provided for third party bodily injury and property damage claims emanating from scheduled tanks on the policy. Policies are written on a claims made basis.

Enhanced Fuel Solutions provides coverage for cleanup costs at an owner’s facility due to releases from the site itself and/or scheduled tanks on the policy. Coverage is also provided for third party bodily injury and property damage claims emanating from the site and/or scheduled tanks on the policy. Policies are written on a claims made basis, and can honor existing retroactive dates where applicable.
